American actor, Martin Mull is dead at 80
Martin Mull, a veteran American comedy actor and musician, passed away. He was eighty years old.
Mull passed away on Thursday at his Los Angeles residence.
According to his wife Wendy Mull, who announced his passing on Friday, he passed away following a protracted illness.
But no explanation was provided.
Maggie Mull, his daughter and a comic book and TV writer, also confirmed his passing.
“My dad will be deeply missed by his wife and daughter, by his friends and coworkers, by fellow artists and comedians and musicians, and —the sign of a truly exceptional person— by many, many dogs,” Maggie Mull said in an Instagram post.
Martin Mull’s co-star in the series ‘Sabrina the Teenage Witch,’ Melissa Joan Hart while paying tribute to him on Instagram, described him as “a wonderful man who I am better for knowing.”
Mull became well-known in the 1970s thanks to roles in films and television series including “Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman” and “Fernwood 2-Night.” Throughout the following fifty years, Mull continued to work in both media.
