Army Pleads with Nigerians to pray for military to overcome security challenges
Nigerians are advised to keep praying for the Armed Forces to tackle the country’s security difficulties by Maj.-Gen. Usman Yusuf, the director-general of the Land Forces Simulation Centre (LFSC).
Speaking to reporters during a special Juma’at prayer on Friday in Abuja in honor of the Nigerian Army Day Celebration (NADCEL) 2024, Mr. Yusuf made the call.
He said, “I implore Nigerians to keep praying for the nation, our leaders, and Almighty God to guide them.” “And to also offer up prayers for the Armed Forces to triumph over every security obstacle we encounter.”
He also urged Nigerians to give the military as much information as they can in order for them to prevail in current conflicts with adversaries who pose a threat to national security.
He continued, “We also implore Nigerians to provide us with as much information as they can in order for us to win these battles as soon as possible.”
According to Mr. Yusuf, the purpose of the special Juma’at prayer was to launch the preparations for the week-long 2024 NADCEL commemoration, which concludes on July 6.
Parents should instill a fear of God in their children, according to Brigade Imam of the Guards Brigade, Capt. Salisu Musa, who led the Juma’at prayer on behalf of the Director of Islamic Affairs.
Mr. Musa stated that the lack of appropriate religious instruction was the source of instability, including terrorism, and that individuals who committed such atrocities lacked both human sympathy and a fear of God.
He emphasized that preaching about the need for every member of society to develop into a prospective preacher and counselor had to continue.
Every year, NADCEL is a celebration of the accomplishments and history of the Nigerian Army since its founding 161 years ago.
