The Houthi group in Yemen declared on Monday that they had carried out four military operations against ships in the Indian, Mediterranean, Arabian, and Red Seas.

The group’s spokesperson, Yahya Sarea, told Reuters that the activities were directed towards vessels associated with the United States, the United Kingdom, and Israel.

In the Arabian Sea, the Israeli ship MSC Unific was the target of the first operation. Sarea went on to say that the second operation in the Red Sea within a week targeted the American oil tanker Delonix.

Third mission targeted the British landing ship Anvil Point in the Indian Ocean; fourth operation targeted a ship that Sarea had named the “Lucky Sailor” in the Mediterranean Sea.

Reuters was unable to confirm these allegations right away.

Since November, the Houthi organization, which is affiliated with Iran, has been attacking shipping lines with drones and missiles while claiming support with the Palestinians in Gaza.
