Nigeria Football Federation target Herve Renard as next Super Eagles coach
The popular Frenchman Herve Renard is being intensively pursued by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to make changes to the Super Eagles.
After the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, Renard plans to step down as head coach of the French women’s national team.
AfricaSoccer.com reports that NFF is keen to name him the Super Eagles’ new head coach.
The 55-year-old, who has experienced considerable success there, is keen to go back.
Renard won the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations with Zambia, and he did it again with Cote d’Ivoire in 2015.
After Finidi George resigned from her position as coach of the Super Eagles, the NFL is currently searching for a replacement.
Although the NFF is likely to encounter fierce competition for Renard’s services, landing him would be a huge victory for Nigerian football.
