According to him, the permanent secretaries were chosen to occupy positions in the top administrative cadre of the Federal Government’s Civil Service that were currently open or would become vacant in a few states and geopolitical areas.
Ngelale claims that they were recruited following a careful selection procedure conducted by the Office of the Head of the Federation’s Civil Service.

“The President believes that in carrying out their duties and guaranteeing the best possible service delivery to the Nigerian people, the newly appointed Federal Permanent Secretaries will demonstrate complete devotion, industriousness, and loyalty to the country,” the statement continued.
