Edo: ‘APC will return to power after Obaseki’s tenure’ – Oshiomhole

Adams Oshiomhole, a senator from Edo North, announced on Sunday that the All Progressives Congress, or APC, will take over as governor when Governor Godwin Obaseki’s term ends in November.

Oshiomhole stated that Edo State will rise once more on November 12 when Monday Okpebholo, the APC’s nominee for governor, takes over for Obaseki.

Speaking at the newly established APC secretariat on Ikpokpan Road, which is located off Boundary-Sapele Road in Benin, he welcomed hundreds of PDP members and PDP chieftain Nosa Adams into the party.

Oshiomhole declared: “We will put in a lot of effort to make sure that the PDP, Labour Party, and the other thirteen political parties that are taking part in Edo lose.”

When Godwin Obaseki’s second term in the PDP ends on November 12, 2024, the APC will take back control of Edo State.

“Okpebholo, a grassroots politician, would rekindle this great Edo State’s engines of growth and development without using fancy language, consulting, or memoranda of agreement.

“What we need is a governor who is a doer, not just a talker. For the people of Edo, the new governor, Okpebholo, would put in a lot of effort.

Respect for the senior members of a political party is essential to its cohesiveness. The candid manner in which Nosa Adams identified and presented the departing executive members at the ward and local government levels in Edo State’s Egor LGA excites me greatly. In Egor LGA, there are no more PDP members.
