NLC Suspends Strike Action
The statewide strike has been halted by the Trade Union Congress (TUC) and the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC).
This will allow the tripartite committee on the new national minimum wage to meet uninterrupted.
TUC chairman Festus Osifo reaffirmed this on Tuesday.
According to BETA NEWS, labor leaders met on Monday with George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), and other government representatives. During the discussion, they resolved that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would support a minimum salary increase above N60,000.
