Transfer: Four clubs scramble for Nigeria’s Super Eagles defender, Torunarigha

A number of German, English, and Italian teams are interested in signing Nigerian defender Jordan Torunarigha, who could depart from Belgian Pro League team KAA Gent in the summer.

Torunarigha had a standout Buffalos season in 2023–2024.

The center-back is reportedly being watched by Serie A team Torino, English teams Crystal Palace and Leeds United, as well as Bundesliga team Hoffenheim, according to German news outlet Bild.

With one year left on his deal, KAA Gent would be open to selling the player.

In 2022, the 26-year-old joined Gent from the German team Hertha Berlin.

104 appearances have been made by Torunarigha since he joined the team.

During the 2021–2022 season, he and Gent won the Belgian Cup.
