AAC: Tobi Amusan leads Nigeria to women’s 4x100m gold

In the women’s 4×100-meter relay at the 2024 African Senior Athletics Championship in Douala on Monday night, Tobi Amusan led Nigeria to victory.

With a time of 42.76 seconds, the team consisting of Amusan, Justina Eyakpobeyan, Tima Godbless, and Olayinka Olajide emerged victorious.

Ghana and Liberia, its competitors in West Africa, placed second and third, respectively.

Since 2018, Nigeria has never lost in this competition at the African Athletics Championship.

Amusan participated in all three groups.

Nigeria finished second in the men’s 4×100-meter relay, while Ghana won the gold.

Usheoritse Itsekiri, Godson Brume, Alaba Akintola, and Kanyinsola Ajayi together recorded a time of 38.84 seconds.

Ghana took first place with a time of 38.63 seconds, and Ivory Coast took third place with a time of 39.77 seconds.
